Loewe has announced a collaboration with the auction house Sotheby's, for the LOEWE Weaves project: a collection of unique handicrafts including galician chestnut roasts, decorated by various artists, bags, baskets and woven leather accessories.
LOEWE Weaves explores the weaving technique both in its decorative function and as a method of building a structure. The main protagonist of the collection is the Galicia pot to roast chestnuts whose holes can become the support for the realization of different weaving techniques. As for accessories, LOEWE Weaves also applies the art of weaving to the processing of leather and raffia accessories embellished with handcrafted details: bags, bracelets, but also vases with weaves and knots. The art work were designed by Japanese artist ARKO, China’s Min Chen of China, and Laia Arqueros from Spain.
